Language Link, Inc. provides a variety of language services for individuals and businesses in the United States and throughout the world. One of our most exciting services is the Language Link Cultural Experience Program, a program geared toward international English-as-a-Second-Language (ESL) students. This program offers English learners an opportunity to better their communication skills through a variety of interactive activities and to experience the culture of the United States in a number of different settings. Students enrolled in the Language Link Cultural Experience Program will participate in academic, social, and service-oriented activities.*

SERVICES AND BENEFITS PROVIDED TO PARTICIPANT

Language Link assures that the following services and benefits will be provided to the participant:

  1. Participant will be provided opportunities to practice and improve English skills through daily interactions with individuals from a variety of age groups, cultures, and professional backgrounds. Participant will practice speaking appropriately to children, adults, and professionals in the workplace.
  2. Participant will experience U.S. customs and culture through a variety of interactive activities on many different levels. Such activities will be academic, social, and service-oriented.
  3. Participant will have the opportunity to live and interact with a native English-speaking family.
  4. Housing, transportation to and from Language Link sponsored activities, and the cost of most activities and meals will be the responsibility of Language Link as part of the Cultural Experience Program.*

PARTICIPANT RESPONSIBILITIES AND LIABILITIES

Participant accepts and agrees to the following personal responsibilities and liabilities as required by Language Link for participation in the Cultural Experience Program.

  1. Participant understands that the Application for the Language Link Cultural Experience Program must be submitted to Language Link at least five (5) weeks prior to the program start date.
  2. Participant understands that the participation fee for the Language Link Cultural Experience Program must be paid in full to Language Link, Inc. at least four (4) weeks prior to the program start date.
  3. Participant understands that the program fee covers the cost of housing, transportation to and from Language Link sponsored activities, and most meals and activities for the duration of the program. All other expenses incurred before, during, or after the program dates will be the sole responsibility of the participant.
  4. Participant understands that $950.00 of the program fee cannot and will not be reimbursed in the event of cancellation or withdrawal from the program after the payment deadline (4 weeks prior to the program start date). Participants who cancel or withdraw from the program prior to the payment deadline will receive full reimbursement for payments made.
  5. Participant understands that he/she is responsible for arranging and making payment for airfare to and from Salt Lake City International Airport in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. Furthermore, the participant understands that any transportation/housing costs incurred prior to the program start date or after the program end date are the sole responsibility of the participant.
  6. Participant understands that he/she is responsible and/or liable for any and all injury or damages incurred before, during, and after the program dates. Furthermore, it is recommended that participants obtain health and travelers insurance to cover any unexpected damages or injury. Language Link cannot and will not be responsible for personal injury and/or damages to personal items incurred during the program.
  7. Participant agrees to abide by the Guidelines for Appropriate Conduct as set forth in the Participant Information Packet.

If any representative or agent not of Language Link, Inc. makes a promise (orally or in writing) that is contrary to this agreement, participant agrees not to rely on any such statement or promise. By submitting this online Participation Agreement Form, the participant agrees to and accepts the terms and conditions mentioned herein.
